Abstract
… The use of the telephone as a supplement to tutoring in reading…
Time for tutoring as well as other teaching time is difficult to find. Can the phone be used to tutor reading? Yes, if the schedule, length of lesson, and frequency of lessons is taken into careful consideration by the tutor.

The contents of the lessons can deal with developing auditory skills, language patterns, experience stories, and even visual skills.
The use of the telephone is far from a cure-all but it can be helpful in reading tutoring.
