Abstract
The Monte-Carlo simulation program is developed to predict the fatigue life of SiCw/Al composite. In order to verify the accuracy of the developed program, the predicted fatigue life of 25% SiCw/Al is compared with the data obtained from the fatigue crack growth tests. The result shows that the average value of difference between the predicted fatigue life and the experimental data is about 15%. So, the fatigue life could predict successfully by means of the Monte-Carlo simulation program. The fatigue crack growth lives of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30% and 35% SiCw/Al composites are predicted using the Monte-Carlo simulation.
