Abstract

As a practice that connects historical-critical scholarship with contemporary Christianity, New Testament theology remains vital for any church wanting to be guided by Scripture. New Testament theology’s place among the more diverse approaches of biblical studies today can be clarified by comparing and contrasting it with the explicit theological interpretation of dogmatics and spirituality and the more contested biblical theology of seventy years ago.
