Abstract
Mairi MacDonald asked Berny Sèbe, whose commentary has helped British and international audiences to understand the 2013 Malian crisis, to provide an update on the situation in Mali in the wake of presidential elections. Drawing on the insights offered in the invited essays in this issue of International Journal, Dr. Sèbe addresses the priorities and constraints acting on Mali’s new government as it seeks to restore territorial sovereignty and peace in the country.
