Last year (1990) saw the publication of Curriculum Guidance No 5. Health Education, from the National Curriculum Council. This followed growing concern about the possible fate of health education in schools once the provisions of the Education Reform Act came into being. In these two articles, Janet Donoghue and John Lloyd, both involved in the development of Curriculum Guidance No 5, give their separate views on the process of health education in the light of recent developments in schools.
