Abstract
EDITORIAL NOTE: Many researchers have indicated the need for supplying a model worthy of emulation for the gifted child. This article reinforces this suggestion, for the gifted child, like all others, identifies with the adults in his life, though their behavior is many times inadequate. The author indicates how ineffective, ineffectual, immature parents whose relationships with one another are on a puerile level also supply the model for their gifted son. Pastoral counseling brings about an increment in the functioning level of maturity of the adults. In turn, this positively influences the behavior of the gifted offspring.
