Abstract
The present study delves into Eugenio Montale's complex relationship with the verse of Andrea Zanzotto, focusing in particular on the abundant flux of ideas from La Beltà (1968) to Satura (1971). In fact, whilst these two groundbreaking collections differ quite substantially, it is nonetheless undeniable that the reading of La Beltà bore significant consequences for the genesis of Montale's later poetry.
