Abstract
The authors focus on the need for administrators to deal with the problem of teacher burnout as it relates to the implementation of Public Law 94-142. Several models for evaluating the mental health of individuals and organizations are presented. Procedures for planning and implementing change strategies to reduce stress are outlined, as are evaluation questions to help administrators assess the effectiveness of change strategies. The importance of individualizing change strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual or organization is emphasized.
