A study was undertaken to determine which features and characteristics of programs for the gifted are considered by authorities in the field to be the most necessary and sufficient for comprehensive programing. The seven features that were considered to be relatively more essential than others have been designated as key features of differential programs for the gifted. Discussion includes a description of the important dimensions of these key features.
