Abstract
The area of instructional materials may be thought of as having six components: pupil assessment, selection of behavioral objectives, selection of methods and materials, classifications and generalization, application, and reassessment. The six components were applied to a program of mathematical learning for trainable mentally retarded students. In this study mathematical learning was unaffected by the form of curriculum repetition used, but was significantly affected by the mode of representation used.
