Erythromelalgia is a rare syndrome occurring in adults and characterized by increased local skin temperature, redness, edema, and burning pain in the feet and, less often, the hands.1-4Primary erythromelalgia has been referred to as "burning feet syndrome. "5 This article describes a boy suffering from a primary type of erythromelalgia.
