Information and support play a vital role in helping mothers breastfeed successfully. Accordingly, pregnant and other women should be given all pertinent information so that they can make an intelligent choice of whether or not to breastfeed. They should be given knowledge about how to breastfeed and encouragement be fore conception, during pregnancy and after the birth of the baby.
