We consider data on the daily numbers of Swine flu (H1N1) cases during July 15, 2009 to October 9, 2009 in Pune, India. Fearing a major epidemic, the government closed educational institutes, malls and theaters for the period August 17, 2009 to August 23, 2009. We investigate the rate of spread of disease, efficacy of the government strategy in arresting the further growth of the disease in the city and the role of temperature and humidity in the spread of the disease.
