Abstract
Statistical experimental design has played an important role in industrial investigations. In this paper, we first discuss the major differences between running industrial and agricultural experiments. Thus, classical statistical experimental designs which are suitable for agricultural experimentation may not be appropriate for industrial experimentation. Some recent research, specifically for designing industrial experimentations, are then introduced. This includes computer experiment, impact of the dispersion effect in unreplicated fractional factorial design and optimal foldover plans.
