On Selecting a Subset Containing the Alternative with the Largest Priority

Abstract

Let A₁, A₂,…, A _k be k alternatives for a decision problem. Saaty uses ratio scale (π₁, π₂,…, π _k ) for the priorities of the alternatives. In a subset selection problem, we derive some selection procedure to select a subset from the k alternatives which includes the largest priority.
