Abstract
The present paper complements the analysis made by Gómez about meta-stereotyping processes considering the implications of meta-stereotypes (and evaluative concerns more generally) for individuals' behavior toward out-group members. Some studies and ideas are summarized respecting the interpersonal consequences of individuals' concerns about how their ingroup (White Canadians) is evaluated by a particular outgroup (Aboriginal Canadians). Specifically, the effects that evaluative concern and meta-stereotype activation have on low-and high-prejudice White Canadians on the treatment of outgroup members are analyzed.
