Abstract
Paul Zorner has held numerous leadership roles in technical and business development positions at biotechnology start-ups and Fortune 500 companies and has been involved in state- and national-level renewable energy policy and advocacy initiatives. His work in agricultural and industrial biotechnology business and education has had a focus in agricultural productivity and largescale bioenergy production. Now chief scientific officer and director of Principle Energy Limited, a renewable energy company developing large-scale sugarcane ethanol projects in Africa, Zorner is actively leading initiatives to build social, environmental, and economic sustainability in the sub-Sahara.
