Abstract
Christina M. Puchalski, M.D., is the director of the George Washington Institute of Spirituality and Health (GWish). A practicing physician and medical educator, she is also and associate professor of medicine at the George Washington University Medical Center (Washington, D.C.). An internationally recognized pioneer in the integration of spirituality and health care, she is the author of A Time for Listening and Caring: Spirituality and Care of the Chronically Ill and Dying (New York: Oxford University Press, 2006).
