Abstract

Research indicates that eating disorders and anxiety disorders frequently co-occur. The present study examines the prevalence of anxiety disorders in an eating disordered population as well as the prevalence of eating disorders in anxiety disordered population. Well standardized, internationally accepted diagnostic instrument and questionnaires have been utilized to ensure an accurate diagnosis of both eating and anxiety disorders. This study will also investigate the temporal relationship between eating disorders and anxiety disorders. The clinical implications of this study will be addressed.
