Abstract
Digital storytelling in the ecology of learning is a project which strives to understand digital storytelling in which youths capture an important aspect or event of their lives, give it meaning and share this meaning on social media. To do so, the goal is to better understand these new practices of posting content (posts, selfies, etc.) via a survey of more than 850 students aged 12 to 22, as well as with 20 or more in-depth interviews during the period 2018–19. The project is also developing a set of materials for the training and self-training of users and educators who want to work with advanced storytelling making use of digital formats. This will be hosted on its own open-access online platform by providing a downloadable kit with step-by-step instructions, references and examples, along with an independent course that can be taken autonomously, including examples, theoretical contents and self-assessment exercises. Effects are expected in the entire field of education, both formal and non-formal.
