Abstract
Rocking curves and ω-2θ mappings were determined by X-ray diffraction at different positions of an aluminum bi-crystal that was deformed by channel die plane strain compression. The width of the rocking curves obtained for the two crystals is different. Also within each crystal differences in the rocking curve width show that plastic deformation during channel die plane strain compression was inhomogeneous.
