Abstract
Two stories from a doctor who worked amongst the poor and marginalised. She was detained on 28 November 1982, after a violent clash with the authorities in which her compañero was killed. In March 1988, after six years' imprisonment, her sentence was changed to indefinite night-time imprisonment. On 14 December 1989, elections in Chile meant a first step to freedom
