Abstract
Preoperative imaging of a 45‐year‐old woman disclosed a large (32 cc) meningeal cyst of the thoracic spine. A chest radiograph performed about four and a half years earlier exhibited a minute widening of the mediastinum in the same place, presumably representing the lesion in its nascent state. It is concluded that a meningeal cyst with a linear tendency to grow enlarges by about 6 cc per year.
