En este artículo se propone una reflexión teórica y crítica acerca de las diferentes concepciones de androginia que se han ido argumentando a través de los últimos años. Se plantea la evolución de la definición de la androginia desde una perspectiva más bien pasiva, hacia una concepción activa en la que se emplean esquemas categoriales.
