Changes affecting both healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical companies have impacted the way medical education is constructed and consumed. In the rapidly transforming disease area of HIV, a physician-led programme, HIV and the Body, has created a model for independent medical education that, on a global scale, successfully engages healthcare professionals and patient educators.
