Abstract
From 1 March 1999 the General Council has taken on a new appearance. Six Councillors will assume office for the first time following elections in their Branches. Associate Professor John Snowdon joined Council on 1 January, representing the new Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age. The New Tasmanian Branch Councillor takes office after the Branch AGM at the end of March. The Branch and Faculty Councillors for the coming year are as follows (new members marked ∗):
