Three months prior to hosting the IUHPE's XVIth World Conference on Health Promotion and Health Education, Professor Hiram Arroyo, IUHPE Vice President for the Organisation of the World Conference, provides us with an overview of health promotion and education in his country.

This Charter was prepared with the contributions from thousands of children and young people in NGOs and schools in more than 80 countries. It was coordinated by the NGO "Environnement sans Frontière" with the support of UNESCO and the United Nations International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP)
