Questions have long been a favorite tool of the teacher. But many of the most searching ques tions about teachers and their teaching are seldom asked, and even less frequently an swered solidly. Wilhelms asks a few.

Being watched is part of every teacher's life. But it is only recently that instruments and processes have been created that permit the watcher really to know what he is seeing.
