Toxicology & Industrial Health is an international, peer-reviewed journal focused on advancing toxicology in industrial, occupational, and environmental health contexts. The journal publishes high-quality basic and applied research that improves understanding of health risks associated with chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the workplace and broader environment.
The scope includes genetic, cellular, and mechanistic toxicology; exposure science; epidemiology; industrial hygiene; product stewardship; and risk and regulatory science. The journal particularly encourages research addressing emerging challenges, including novel chemicals, complex mixtures, advanced materials, and evolving industrial processes, as well as contamination related to hazardous waste sites and groundwater.
The journal promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and prioritizes studies with clear relevance to risk assessment, exposure limits, and risk mitigation strategies. It publishes original research, reviews, and technical reports based on rigorous and reproducible methods, and welcomes well-designed studies reporting null or negative findings.
By supporting transparent, policy-relevant research, Toxicology & Industrial Health aims to inform evidence-based decision-making and strengthen public and occupational health protections worldwide.
This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
