Seminars in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia is a quarterly journal that serves the educational needs of clinicians practicing cardiothoracic and vascular anesthesia, thoracic and abdominal transplant anesthesia, pediatric/congenital cardiothoracic anesthesia, and related specialties including critical care medicine.
SCVA provides the anesthesia practitioner with access to timely reviews that summarize the data and expert opinion supporting evidence-based medicine and current best practices. It fulfills an important niche as one of only two journals devoted to the anesthetic and perioperative care of patients with heart, lung, vascular, and pediatric/congenital heart disease as well as patients requiring thoracic or abdominal organ transplantation. The Journal adheres to a rigorous double-anonymized reviewing policy in which the identity of both the reviewer and author are always concealed from both parties.
