Effective January 1, 2026, Evolutionary Bioinformatics will transition from a fully Open Access model to a hybrid publishing model. While select articles will continue to be published Open Access, the majority of content will be available through institutional or individual subscriptions.

Evolutionary Bioinformatics is a peer reviewed international journal focusing on evolutionary bioinformatics. The journal aims to support understanding of organismal form and function through use of molecular, genetic, genomic, and proteomic data by giving due consideration to its evolutionary context.
