An analytical proof has been developed which demonstrates the equality of radial and edge plastic work rate in an arbitrarily shaped plate that is collapsing in pseudo-conical mode. This new-found equality relation eliminates the need to compute the radial plastic work rate, substantially reducing the effort required to compute the upper-bound plastic collapse load using the yield-line theory.
