This paper deals with the application of fuzzy logic in the voltage control of a synchronous generator. The fuzzy controller has been implemented in a personal computer (PC) and appropriate interfaces between the computer and the generator have been designed and built. Experimental results show that the fuzzy controller always eliminates voltage steady error with a good transient response.
