This paper considers some difficulties of electric circuit analysis when the circuit excitation includes delta functions. Clarification is obtained when the analysis is done for pulses of finite duration and amplitude, and then the limit for duration going to zero is considered. This approach is applied to the analysis of a switching-mode limit cycle resonant oscillator.
