Abstract
The Trilogy project is a collaborative research project between the Universities of Durham and Strathclyde and Queen Mary College London. The project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of pooling the resources and expertise of research groups at the three institutions in a ‘virtual laboratory’. The laboratory will be used to support research training and collaborative working between the sites. This paper describes the aims of the project and the way the laboratory was implemented and gives examples of its use.
