Abstract
In this article the authors explore the characteristics and nature of entrepreneurship education for the creative disciplines and suggest links with the entrepreneurial traits of creative discipline graduates. Reporting on a combination of specialist literature, case studies of graduates and a ‘snapshot’ analysis of relevant job adverts for academic staff in these disciplines, the authors suggest that there is a great deal to be gained from a better understanding of how those characteristics work and how they can be applied to teaching enterprise in a business school setting. They argue that by their nature courses in the creative disciplines are providing ‘implicit’ as well as ‘explicit’ enterprise education and that the potential application of such implicit components is worthy of further investigation.
