GCGC video library

The Global Cancer Genomics Consortium (GCGC), which aims to build an international collaborative platform among cancer biologists, cutting-edge genomics and high-throughput expertise with medical oncologists and surgical oncologists, held its 4^th Annual Conference in November 2014 in Kyoto, Japan. The theme title was a New Era of Molecular Medicine and Epigenetic Cancer Medicine: Cross Section of Genomics and Epigenetics.

OOTR Investigators Meeting

The 2015 Investigators Meeting of the Organisation for Oncology and Translational Research (OOTR) was held on the 10^th of April to kick-start the 11^th OOTR Annual Conference in Shanghai, China, being organized with Elsevier, Lancet Oncology and Viral Hepatitis. The executive director of OOTR, Prof. Louis Chow, welcomed the participating investigators from Australia, China, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Hong Kong to engage in a discussion on current and future research.

Of particular interest this year were the biomarker studies for completed clinical projects, as well as interim results of the OOTR-N007 study, combining a CDK 4/6 inhibitor with letrozole in a neoadjuvant setting (1).

The group also discussed further collaborative research proposals between partners both within and outside Asia to boost research output and to stimulate education. A few milestones of the meeting: Breast Cancer Collaborative Group (BCOG) regular meetings in China to share research and educate young investigators; The OOTR Grand Tour, which was held in Israel and Italy in the past year and is planned to continue in Sweden in the coming year; and the OOTR journal collaborations with the International Journal of Biomarkers (IJBM) and the newly formed journal Cancer Focus for Chinese/English bilingual publications.

OOTR 12^th Annual Conference

OOTR will hold its 12^th Annual Conference in conjunction with the Asian Oncology Summit and Kyoto Breast Cancer Research Network, from the 4^th to 6^th of March 2016 in Kyoto, Japan. Exact details of this conference are being formulated right now, so please keep an eye on the OOTR Kyoto website for updates (http://www.ootr-institute.org).
