Does the peritoneal dialysis team have any responsibility on its low prevalence?

Abstract

Peritoneal dialysis is used in approximately 10% of patients with end-stage renal disease. The limited use of this method has several causes. We here discuss whether the peritoneal dialysis team, and especially the physicians involved, has any responsibility in the low prevalence of this technique.
