Abstract
One of the most common teaching methods within the world of pharmacy is that of preceptorship. Preceptors facilitate the learning experience of students in a one-to-one relationship that helps to develop both the knowledge base and clinical skills of the preceptee. To positively impact the experience, preceptors can learn to apply appropriate adult learning principles, build a relationship with the preceptee and create a positive learning environment. This paper will help the preceptor apply adult learning concepts to create a positive pharmacy preceptorship experience.
