Abstract
The method for a deep electrical stimulation of the osteofibrous formations involved in a dystrophic process which can be identified according to the criterion of a palpable painfullness or by means of thermography of the projection of local hyperthermia sites is described. An evaluation of the results of the management of vertebrogenic lumbalgia and lumboischialgia by using the proposed method of osteoelectroacupuncture (stimulation by the bipolar asymmetric impulses, 0.1 msec duration, 5-10 Hz frequency, and up to 200 µA current intensity) has revealed a statistically significant curtailment of the treatment terms and a fewer number of the reccurences when compared to the standard schemes.
