In celebrating the 10th anniversary of Acupuncture and Electro-Therapeutics Research, the International Journal which is now considered to be the most important international research journal in the fields of acupuncture and electro-therapeutics by being indexed in over 15 major international indexing periodicals, the 1st International Symposium on Acupuncture and Electro-Therapeutics will be held in New York City during October 9-13. The symposium is co-sponsored by the Education Department of the American Museum of Natural History, Heart Disease Research Foundation, and other related organizations and medical schools. Some of the important works to be presented are summarized: Among them, interrelationship between disease of the cardio-vascular system and the effect of strong and weak stimulation on the central nervous and peripheral nervous system; and a study of the “Push-Pull Action” of brain serotonin of Raphe nuclei and norepinephrine of Locus Ceruleus and its network on cardio-vascular system. As important clinical applications of “Bi-Digital O-Ring Test”, new simple inexpensive and accurate imaging technique of internal organs as well as cancer specific imaging technique of specific types of cancer of specific internal organs were developed by the author. This new simple inexpensive imaging method can make an early diagnosis even before a CAT-Scan or other diagnostic method can detect the presence of small cancer in early stage. Examples of imaging are shown with cancer of the head of the pancreas. Using this new organ imaging technique, a new satellite network system of Thymus gland interconnecting with Thyroid gland, Pituitary gland , spleen, appendix, ovaries & testes was found. The author also found high incidence of hypo-function of Pituitary gland, Thyroid gland, and the Thymus gland in cancer patients. New clinical application of the combined use of immuno-stimulant and the stimulation of satellite network of thymus gland in treatment of immune deficiency related diseases and cancer was discussed.
