Abstract
This study has been carried out 1n a control group of 23 voluntary people, free of any clinical disease and a group of 22 patients. Taichong (Liv. 3) was bilaterally punctured without stimulation only in the patient group. Between 2 and 5 PM, 7 samples were collected at Intervals from - 15 to + 120 minutes. A.C.T.H. and Cortisol were assayed by radioimmunological method in each sample. It is not possible to make conclusions about the numbers obtained for A.C.T.H. assay, but Cortisol secretion seems modified by Taichong needling. This change corresponds sometimes to a slowing of the physiological increase sometimes to an acceleration of this increase.
