Abstract
Acupuncture usually implies treatment either by needles or by electrostimuli. The authors, however, experimented both with water- and air-jet. By the aid of impedance measurement at the points according to the acupuncture nomenclature, it has been discovered that the impedance changes by the influence of water-or air-jet. The changes were similar to those caused by electrostimuli at the same points. Using the fluidic principles, it is possible to develop and produce cheap fluidopuncture apparatus. This apparatus is designed to be used in a non-invasive method, especially when the patients’ contraindications, side effects, or research needs with experimental animals do not recommend the use of the needles or electrostimulators.
