Abstract
The corporate should consider both product innovation and environmental impact for customer’s needs. Consequently, the problem-solving-based product design becomes an important issue which can both solve the customer’s problem and environmental problem through inventive process. One of major goals of the present paper is to support problem-solving design process for invention by using TRIZ contradiction matrix associated with the consideration of problem-efficiency such as customer-efficiency, eco-efficiency and fuzzy theory. Another goal is to automate the problem-solving design process for invention using agent-oriented method in order to further speed up the invention process. In this paper, we present a novel fuzzy problem-solving computer-aided system for invention based on multi-agent and fuzzy TRIZ. A case study is demonstrated, using an example of an actual notebook computer. The experiment is evaluated in comparison with other methods using Factor X indicator. The contribution of the computer-aided system is demonstrated through prioritized comparison matrix in a problem formulation for fuzzy handling. This experiment indicates that the proposed method represents the evaluation of the product design well among customer needs, environmental impact and product innovation.
