Abstract
The politics, economics, health impacts, and regulation of the tobacco industry are common themes in recent debates. This paper documents worldwide impacts of tobacco use, including the health implications as well as the politics and economics of tobacco regulation. A review of the proposed settlement and potential legislation is presented. Methods of occupational therapy intervention are also discussed.
