Abstract
The following note describes the principal components of the 2008 Integrated Census of Population and Housing in Israel, to be conducted by the Israel Central Bureau Statistics (ICBS). The first section presents the plans for the integrated census; the second section addresses the issues related to implementation in practice in Israel. Dr. Hagit Glickman, of the Census Methodology Unit, prepared the sections on the statistical methodology of the census.
