Abstract
This paper summarizes a report prepared for two Swedish government agencies: the Ministry of Public Administration's Child and Youth Advisory Committee, and The Commission on Living Conditions and Future Prospects of Young People. The report includes the results of two studies, one of which required a fresh survey of changes in young adults' values and attitudes. The other made use of existing statistics for an analysis of young adults' material living conditions. The title of the complete report is Ungdomars Välfärd och Värderingar (Lyfestyles, values and attitudes – young adults in Sweden); it is an official publication of the Swedish government (SOU 1994:73).
