Abstract
Marketing of statistical services has during recent years played an increasing role in the activities of many national statistical bureaus, including the Danish, Icelandic and Swedish. The experience obtained so far in these bureaus as well as the organization of the marketing activities applied and the price setting procedures is described. The advantages – and possible drawbacks – connected with seeking part of the statistical production financed through user charges are discussed.
