Abstract
A general outline of methodological problems is needed in order to analyze results of time budget surveys carried out in Poland in 1969, 1976 and 1984. The results are widely used in social and economic policy-making, in scientific research and in various forecasting exercises. They were also used in international comparisons, particularly between Hungary, Finland and Poland.
The Central Statistical Office of Poland currently prepares the next time budget survey which is scheduled for 1990.
