Abstract
Funded by the EU, the German city networks DUVA and Urban Audit in cooperation with Dutch and Finnish cities, under the leadership of Freiburg University, engaged in the TooLS-project to build up a data base for cooperative learning focusing on the perceptions of the generation 50plus in Europe. This paper reports on the concept and the organisational set-up and describes the publicly available knowledge base with content data, methodologies and instruments built up from the citizens' surveys in more than 15 cities plus data from comparative European surveys and from the Urban Audit. It alsoinvites interested cities to join the emerging new KOSIS-Association TooLS and to participate in the next round of comparative perception surveys on the topic of the future of the generation 50plus.
